Festival Directors

Anant Nath is the Editor of The Caravan. He started the magazine in 2010 as India's first magazine dedicated to long form narrative journalism. He is also the Executive Director of Delhi Press Group, one of the leading magazine publishing houses in India. He has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (Lucknow), and an MA in Political Science from Columbia University, New York.

Richa Shah studied Economics at St Stephens College, New Delhi and then completed her Masters in Business Administration from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. She worked as a senior analyst at India's premier Credit rating company ICRA, and later as Marketing Director at Terraform Realty ( formerly Everest Developers) in Mumbai. She is the Managing editor of the Children's publishing division at Delhi Press, and feels passionately about diversity and equality for men and women in India.

Program Director

Pragya Tiwari is an editor, journalist and academic on issues of policy and law. She was the editor in chief of a magazine on cinema and culture called The Big Indian Picture, and is the creative director of India's largest digital platform for indie music, Balcony TV. She has also previously been an editor with one of India's leading news and investigation magazine, Tehelka and continues to contribute to publications in India and abroad as a writer and editorial consultant.


Girija Shivakumar runs Koan Communications and is an award-winning journalist focusing on India's development challenges. She has reported for The Financial Times and The Hindu, writing on politics, rural development, health and the defence sectors, and has worked with several Cabinet Ministers, corporates and development organizations on media and communication, including Obama's presidential campaign in 2008. Girija has previously also worked with Tina Brown Live Media's Women in the World Summit in New Delhi. She also works as a communications consultant for a range of corporate, political, and not-for-profit clients in India and the Unites States.

Multimedia Producer

Pracheta Sharma is a video storyteller who¬†graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, with a specialization in documentary filmmaking. In the past, she has worked with a range of organizations & projects that includes the Wall Street Journal, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Women in the World Summit and Teach For Nepal. She¬†is passionate about stories focusing on social innovation, gender empowerment, education & human rights, and loves to shoot, edit and travel to find those extraordinary stories of ordinary people around the world.
